My first ever AB gig at Manchester Academy 23/11/13.
Massive WOW ! As a hardened Bowie fan i can not highly recommend this band enough - very authentic in regards to the Bowie sound, look , moves& fashion .
Even after the gig a very personable band getting to chat & have photos was an added bonus.
Ziggy set was utterly amazing - highlight for me Moonage Daydream !
I'm now a AB addict & will be looking out for tours whenever I can!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Went to see Absolute Bowie at Quay Threatre Sudbury on Fri 13th September 2013 they were brillant probably one of the best tribute bands around and not a easy act to follow that of David Bowie. I hope they come back next year to Sudbury and i will go again.
I am speaking with the theatre at the moment to get them booked up for next year.

I feel so lucky to have caught a/b almost at the beginning, and have had the pleasure in watching them grow, the first time I saw them step on stage at the standard was like nothing else I had seen,I remember thinking wow they really are something special...I was hooked. 5 years on they are simply amazing,I have lost count of how many times I have seen them now,but with each and every performance is as captivating as that first time, every song is performed to perfection with all the brilliant musicians in the band and with John's enthralling performance as Mr Bowie, you can't but have an amazing time, there is always total connection with their audience. The Horn on Sat was sensational,if you love Bowie you will not find a better tribute, long may you continue, next one is Putney and I can't wait! Love you guys Debbie x Top 5 'Must have' Cracked Actor Diamond Dogs Lady Grinning Soul Queen Bitch Moonage Daydream

Absolutely loved Absolute Bowie at st.albans! Had an amazing night dancing at the front and thought that halloween jack and the band were brilliant, as a child of the 80s i completely missed Ziggy Stardust and it was amazing to have that experience, cant wait for the next gig xxxx

Just wanted to say it was our 7TH time to see you at the Boom Boom Club in Sutton - another great gig - the audience love you - and nice to see new outfit for first half of the show ! Would like to make a request -any chance you could include "Hello spaceboy" (David Bowie/Pet Shop Boys) for future gigs ? We will be back to see you at Boom Boom on 28th December - can't wait.

Absolue Bowie fans !!!!

St Albans 7th Sept 2013
Andy

it's so hard to say what's the difference between a really good show and a truely great one.
Last night was a great one. I was lovin every single moment of it. How can you be in awe
after seeing this lot 20+ times,
but I was.
John, your edgy aloof almost threatening stance was superb,
and obviously the boys did terrific too. Downside now is ALL yours gigs are pretty much at capacity, less room for dancing.
I was so hoping my AB virgin mate who came along would enjoy it, I've got a sneaking one he did.

PS. That's the first time I've seen you (John) getting physical fan love at the front.
This just doesn't happen to tribs. I can understand men giving you their heart but not women?

PPS. Also who was the menacing 'security' twat at the front (second half) and what could he possibly be saying into his little 'radio'.

Anyway I'm not sure if your 'competition' is limited to songs you currently cover,
so here's 5 that I reckon you don't.

Saw the Band in St Albans last night-great gig. The Band are all individual Characters and they are a tight unit. Must see and they are faithful to the original look and sound of Bowie.

I have seen absolute bowie 4 times now, each time at the Boom Boom club in Sutton, the last time was last night. I am a lifelong Bowie fan and the first time I saw them they were very very good. Now they are amazing! "David's" vocals are absolutely faithful which is no small feat given Bowie's vocals changed so much during his career. Add that to looking and moving like him too, and it's just like having the great one in the room! The band are just as good- really tight, great musicians- they don't take liberties with the originals, just cover them so well you couldn't imagine them being done better live. Also- good to see Paul the drummer and keyboard Jon really looking like they were enjoying themselves which is always a good sign! Well done ab, can't wait to see you again.
